Amaro Farms, 44 Amaro Farm Road

Come tour the farm and interact with sheep and cattle, including our new baby mini-cow born at the beginning of August. See the 1886 barn, the hazelnut orchard, and browse our gift shop. Plus, for the first time at the farm - don’t miss our special vintage sale!​

​Bee Positive, 491 Telegraph Lane

Saturday, 2pm- 5pm
Self-guided exploration of our 40-acre pollinator habitat, coupled with Q&A about honeybees and their management on San Juan Island. Contraindicated for those with honeybee sting sensitivity or allergies. Jar honey and cut honeycomb available for purchase. Bee mindful.

Ferry Boat Seeds, Address provided upon registering
Saturday
10am- 12pm: Brook and Louisa of Ferry Boat Seeds will lead a tour of their organic seed production fields and seed processing facility. Learn about their approach to organic seed production and cleaning, with plenty of seed to look at during the peak of fall harvest season. Ferry Boat Seeds grows vegetable and flower seed on contract for research organizations and retailers, regionally and nationally.
2:30- 4pm: Join Ferry Boat Seeds for a farmer to farmer discussion of weed management. We will share our experience with a range of weeding tools from hand hoes to walk-behind cultivation tools to tractor-mounted weeding implements suitable for weeding 300 row-feet to 5+ acres. Participants are invited to bring their favorite weeding tool, or a picture to share. This will be a fun opportunity to discuss how to effectively and economically manage weeds in organic crop production.

Island Haven Animal Sanctuary, 862 Valley Farms Road

Island Haven volunteers will be on site to provide tours of the animal sanctuary and historical information about the farm we are hosted on. Tours are by donation. Join us in celebrating our 10 year anniversary!

Madrone Cellars & Cider, 862 Valley Farms Road

Come explore the farm and learn about Madrone and taste through our award winning Island Grown wine, cider, and natural seltzers called piquette! See and learn about our traditional wine and cidermaking. We will be offering fresh pressed cider to taste and for sale to bring home. **Please bring your own containers** Tastings for $15 and Fresh pressed cider for sale. Conveniently located at the same farm as Island Haven Animal Sanctuary.

Come Explore Overmarsh Farm Commons! Join us for guided and self-guided tours of this community-powered farm project — a collaboration between the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank and the San Juan Island Grange. Overmarsh Farm Commons brings islanders together to grow food, share knowledge, and care for the land through regenerative farming practices — all in the name of a resilient food future. As we wrap up our first year, we’re excited to showcase our new infrastructure, flourishing community garden, and our vision for expanding into more local food projects.

Free apple & pear tastings and self-guided farm tours all day. 11 AM – Guided tour + talk on regenerative agriculture, 12 PM – Learn about sheep grazing & wool production.

SJI Grange's cider press is available to make fresh cider, using either your apples or ones purchased at our farm stand. Don't forget to bring along containers for your cider!

Our self-serve farm store will be open all weekend. Stop by to browse fresh farm produce, natural wool & fleeces, and handmade crafts.

The Farm at Krystal Acres, 3501 West Valley Road
Friday, Saturday, 11am- 4pm
The farm will be open Friday and Saturday from 11am - 4pm. Come learn about fiber farming and raising alpacas as well as the various conservation/preservation projects taking place at Krystal Acres. Come feed the alpacas any time and shop for soft alpaca goods such as our farm socks and beanies. The SJI Conservation District will be hosting a booth and on Saturday at 2pm giving a guided tour of their conservation projects in progress at the farm (Garry Oak savannah restoration as well as riparian and reforestation work). Weather permitting, there will be alpaca yoga on Saturday morning (registration details will be posted at www.krystalacres.com). Stay tuned on the website for a possible farm lunch on Saturday. ​
