Barn Owl Bakery, 108 Grayling Lane
Saturday, 1- 3pm
Visit Barn Owl Bakery and learn about our heritage grain farm and how we turn local grains into delicious baked goods. Sample breads made from this year's harvest and enjoy treats from our farmstand bakery. The event is free, baked goods for sale at the farmstand.
Indigo Moon Farm & Fiber, 37 Fisherman Bay Road
Saturday, 10am- 3pm
Come see the super early days of our agroecology project that will continue to evolve for many years to come. We will offer tours of our silvopasture and silvohorticulture systems as well as the rest of the garden space at 10:30am and 1:30pm. In addition, we will shear several of our Shetland sheep at 12pm and discuss the importance of wool and its role in agriculture.
Our farm stand will be open and stocked with seasonal produce and our locally grown Shetland wool yarn. Feel free to bring a picnic and blanket to hang out in the orchard.
Please note: sheep shearing is weather dependent and will be postponed in case of rain. VERY IMPORTANT: NO DOGS ALLOWED due to livestock -- not even on leash or left in vehicles!
Island Fibers, 4208 Port Stanley Road
Saturday, 10am- 2pm
At our working studio, visitors can observe the steps involved in turning fiber into fabric: fleece evaluation and preparation, carding, spinning, weaving, felting, and lichen dyeing.
Lopez Island fleece, yarn, and handwoven and knit textiles available for purchase.
Lopez Island School L.I.F.E Gardens, 86 School Road
Saturday, 10am- 1pm
Stroll through the Lopez Island School LIFE garden, orchards and greenhouses on a guided tour to see what students have been working on this fall. Check out our improved Kids Garden, the new Sensory Garden and hear about the history of our farm-to-cafeteria as part of Lopez Island School District's 85th Anniversary celebrations while enjoying a cup of cider and small bites made from our produce. Tours start at 10am, 11am, and 12pm.

School gardens open to the public for visitors and self guided tours.
Midnight's Farm, 3042 Center Road
Saturday, 4-5pm
We learn from our mistakes and so can you! We will do a farm walk that highlights some of the learning opportunities we have experienced over the years. Do “3D electric fences” work for deer? What happens when you put too much boron on blueberries? We will have some fun, get a walk around the farm and see some things that are working along the way.

Midnight’s Farm Dinner with Blue Heron Bistro
Join us in the barn for a casual, drop-in harvest dinner! Stop by anytime between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM to enjoy a delicious meal featuring Midnight’s Farm beef bourguignon, followed by a local berry crisp for dessert. Wine and beer will be available for purchase, and we'll have information on how you can support local agriculture. Preregistration is required. Farm Dinner made from farm-grown ingredients (vegetarian chili, cornbread, barley cakes, butter, and fresh milk). Limited to the first 20 people to RSVP to henning@sshomestead.org. $15 cash at the door. Dinner preceded by a half-hour discussion of "Small-Farm Economics and Succession." Taproot Community Kitchen, 1008 Dill Road

Come visit Taproot's shared-use commercial kitchen where we help small food businesses create marketable products. We'll showcase kitchen tools and preservation equipment that all islanders are welcome to rent. Sample our commercial vendors' delicious products and locally grown island fruit.
Watmough Bay Farm, 121 Watmough Head Road

Guided Farm Tour – Begins at 10:30 AM
Join us for a guided tour of Watmough Bay Farm and see firsthand how we grow vegetables and raise pasture-based livestock. Learn how we're building healthier soils to produce the most nutrient-dense food possible while caring for the land and our animals. We'll also share some of the challenges facing small local farms today and discuss the important role our community plays in helping keep local agriculture thriving.
